Hi, I’m Houkje Kroeze Stewart, the owner of Blossoming Speech Therapy, and my goal, more than anything, is to bring people closer together by treating speech and language disorders and giving families the support and education they need to support their children.

I am a fully licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with more than ten years of experience in private practice and in our school systems. During that time, I have treated children with a variety of needs, from articulation and phonological disorders, to autism, to expressive and receptive language disorders. My goal is not just to treat patients directly but to bridge the gaps between kids, parents, teachers, and service providers.

My aim is to do this through my therapy as well as through education so that we can build together the inclusive culture that will help patients to be resilient and to function well in all the aspects of their life. I intend to not just “fix problems,” but help my patients to blossom into the people they wish to be by breaking down the barriers to communication.

I am fully licensed in both Texas (my current place of residence) and California, where I offer remote therapy services. In addition, I am available for program consultation, IEP support, school and preschool staff trainings, and educational courses designed for parents to help them support their young children build their language skills.
